Cheryl Lohr

Cheryl Lohr is a research scientist employed at the Western Australia Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA). She became the DBCA scientist for Matuwa (Lorna Glen), which hosts several listed species, in 2017.

Cheryl has a wide array of experience in wildlife ecology and invasive species management from the development of feral cat baits to the use of wildlife contraceptives in over-abundant wildlife and the human dimensions, cultural aspects, and cost-benefit analysis of managing introduced animals.

Recently, Cheryl has been involved in the development of island biosecurity models, species-interaction models, systematic conservation planning software, habitat mapping and population viability analysis.
