David Roshier is Regional Ecologist with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and manages all research and monitoring on five conservation reserves in the semi-arid woodlands and desert regions of southern and central Australia. These sanctuaries (Newhaven, Kalamurina, Buckaringa, Dakalanta, and Yookamurra Sanctuaries) cover nearly 1,000,000 ha and conserve key populations of threatened desert fauna.
The main focus of management and research is the control of key threatening processes such as feral predators, feral herbivores and wildfire, and the re-introduction of regionally extinct fauna. David has spent the vast majority of his career as an ecologist in the desert regions of the world.
