Erica Marshall is a new PhD student at the University of Melbourne. She will be working with Brednan Wintle and Heini Kujala on biodiversity offsets. The
research will be looking at the currencies that are being used to trade biodiversity losses. How can the metrics used in biodiversity offsets be inproved
both to accurately measure biodiversity loss and ensure species persistence through better offsetting procedures?
Erica's previous work has been in using movement data and GIS tools to inform management decisions for endemic, threatened species in New Zealand.
