Fernanda Alves

Fernanda is a conservation biologist with an interest in population ecology and management of threatened species and their habitat. She is interested in how populations interact with the environment after landscape changes and how management interventions can help the persistence of populations.

Fernanda has contributed to a variety of fieldwork involving endangered bird species on fine scales in Brazil and Australia. She has recently started her PhD at The Australian National University, and her research aims to do a full investigation on the possible reintroduction of the endangered forty spotted pardalote to the main Island of Tasmania.
