James Todd is Acting Executive Director, Biodiversity Division with the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
DELWP’s Biodiversity Division is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of biodiversity and wildlife policies, legislation and
regulations, investment programs and the knowledge and science that underpins the design of all these. James has been appointed Acting Executive
Director Biodiversity Division for the next few months.
James has a technical background in ecology and has been working with the department for nearly 20 years in areas such as threatened species policy
and programs, native vegetation regulation and market mechanisms and biodiversity information systems and decision-making. James had accountability
for the development of the Protecting Victoria’s Environment – Biodiversity 2037 released by the Victorian Government in April 2017.
