John Dwyer is plant ecologist at The University of Queensland and CSIRO. He studies Australian plant communities to better understand the processes
that maintain diversity and ecosystem function. This includes research on how to reassemble ecosystems (restoration ecology) and understanding
how non-native plant species invade and impact natural ecosystems.
John works in a range of study systems including coastal sand dunes, brigalow forests, subtropical rainforests, York gum woodlands and restoration
plantings.
