Karen Sommerville is a horticultural scientist based at The Australian PlantBank

Her research experience ranges from the reproductive biology and genetics of saltmarsh plants to seed biology of alpine herbs, symbiotic culture of
orchids and ex situ conservation of a range of plant species.
Karen's current role entails investigating ex situ conservation techniques for Australian rainforest species, particularly those affected by Myrtle
Rust.
