Dr Kelly de Bie

Kelly is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the School of BioSciences at The University of Melbourne.  

She is a conservation scientist with expertise in the social aspect of conservation and decision science. She advocates and applies evidence-based and practical solutions to address conservation challenges, with a focus on protected areas and natural resource management.   

Kelly partners with government agencies in projects that aim to utilise evidence-based decision-making practices and incorporate social, economic and cultural values. This is achieved through the facilitation of expert elicitation workshops and applying structured decision-making to natural resource management decision contexts.
