Mark Ooi

Mark Ooi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecosystem Science, School of Biological Earth & Environmental Sciences at the University of New South Wales. His research interests include fire and plant ecology, and a lot of his work is focused on understanding mechanistic responses of plant populations to the fire regime and seed ecology.

Understanding the need to communicate research findings to management professionals and the community, Mark has developed strong collaborative links with conservation agencies, particularly for his projects aimed at conserving threatened species.
