Matt West focuses on understanding and preventing frog decline. By comparing frog species differing responses to threats like disease, introduced predators and urbanization Matt's research is identifying factors that enable some species to cope with threats and developing applied management options for species most at risk of decline.
Matt is a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, currently working collaboratively with partners in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia and is funded by both the NESP Threatened Species Recovery Hub and the Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub (Project 5).
