Tyrone is a postdoctoral researcher in the Fenner School of Environment and Society at The Australian National University. His current work focuses on two themes: developing cost-appropriate, cost-effective and practical monitoring protocols for Australia’s threatened species; and developing methods to assess engagement, uptake and impact from research partnerships.
Tyrone has a background in mammalogy, biodiversity survey and island biogeography in Australia and the south-west Pacific. A large part of this has involved collaboration on conservation projects in Melanesia.
