Project 6.3 Australia is home to some of the world’s most amazing species, but the fate of many hangs in the balance. Preventing extinctions and recovering these species is vital to Australia’s future health, social wellbeing, business and international standing, but this may well depend on cross-sector relationships and novel conservation approaches. Significant opportunities for conservation can arise from environmental, social, technological and economic change. To seize these opportunities, we need foresight about which trend will present in the near future, and cross-sectorial networks to ensure that opportunities are appropriately resourced and implemented.
