Dr Jessica Walsh

Jessica is a lecturer in the School of Biological Sciences, Monash University. Her work focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of conservation management actions and policies, and improving knowledge exchange between science and practice.

Currently, Jessica is evaluating the effectiveness of interventions for Australian woodland birds (NESP TSR Hub project 3.2.6) and developing methods to assess the benefits and costs of biodiversity offsetting for threatened species (NESP TSR Hub project 5.1). Jessica applies interdisciplinary methods to help inform conservation decisions. She has worked on issues ranging from threatened bird conservation, invasive species management, recovery planning, knowledge exchange, Pacific salmon conservation and data-limited fisheries management.
